Malin 2-9 Bundoran 0-10
A super first half from Malin ensured their passage through to the Intermediate Football Championship semi-final against a slow starting Bundoran at Páirc Aodh Rua.
The Inishowen men got off to a flyer with the skill of Brendan McLaughlin and Christopher McLaughlin causing Bundoran plenty of bother, the former getting the first point before the latter set up Daniel Houghton for an early goal.
Brendan was then played in on the left and struck a great shot into the back of the net for a 2-2 to 0-1 lead after 15 minutes.
The McLaughlin pair pointed once each again while Timmy Govorov got two for Bundoran, 2-6 to 0-4 at the break.
Malin got just one point in the next 25 minutes of the second half through a Conor O’Neill free but Bundoran had been trying to mount a comeback, Jamie Brennan four frees and Darragh Hoey pointed to leave four in it.
But Malin ensured the win through a Christopher McLaughlin score and a Brendan McLaughlin free.
