PLANS to open a ‘Pieta House’ suicide and self-harm crisis centre in Donegal next year have received a significant boost.
It follows confirmation that a financial target of €180,000 to €200,000 has almost been met and that a delegation from Pieta House is to meet ‘Action for Hope’, a local action group, later this month.
That meeting will set out a time-frame for the commencement of a service which will offer a support to people in distress in the North west.
Speaking to the Donegal News earlier today ‘Action for Hope’ co-ordinator, Mr Danny Devlin, said that things were progressing in the right direction.
