THE father of Majella O’Donnell passed away in Tenerife yesterday, leaving the wife of Donegal’s singing star devastated.
Majella’s father, Ton Roche, is believed to have suffered a brain haemorrhage following a fall at their Tenerife apartment earlier this week.
Majella, who is undergoing cancer treatment, was at her father’s bedside with husband Daniel when he passed away.
Daniel’s website stated; “It is with sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Roche Daniel’s father in law. Husband of Marion, father to Michael, Josephine, Majella and Moira who passed away peacefully at 6.30pm this evening (Tuesday). May he rest in peace.”
Daniel had cancelled all of his upcoming gigs on his British Tour after it was realised how serious Tom’s condition was.
Daniel first met his future wife in Tom and Marion’s Bar in Tenerife in 1999.
Majella is said to be heartbroken by her father’s sudden passing.
