A section of the main Letterkenny to Ramelton road will be closed on Sunday morning to allow for the removal of an overhanging tree.
Gardaí are advising motorists to take care and be aware that diversions will be in place while the work is carried out.
The tree was partially blown over during Friday’s storms.
Gardaí said: “An Emergency Road Closure will be in place from 8am to 12pm tomorrow (Sunday) on the R245 Ramelton to Letterkenny Road between Woodlands NS and the Golf Course road to facilitate the removal of an overhanging tree.
“Be cautious if travelling in the area. Diversions via local roads will be in place. HGV’s are advised to use alternative routes.”
The public are asked to keep an eye on the Donegal County Council website and social media pages for details of road blockages, closures and updates.
