It’s competition time on Lough Fern
The Loughanure Angling Club will hold another competition on Loughanure Lake on the 11th of August. Many valuable prizes will be up for grabs with another large turnout expected.

SEA ANGLING
Rathmullan Charters boats have been enjoying good mixed fishing over the past week with good catches of pollock, coalfish, ling, gurnard and rays. Noteable catches this week have been a 7lbs cod, 10lbs pollock, specimen size spurdog and two nice John Dory. Mackerel are now more plentiful in the lough and provide good sport on the evening trips.
An added bonus this week has been has been sightings of basking sharks off Fanad and pods of dolphins at Knockalla. There are still some dates available in August for groups of up to 12 people. Rods and reels are supplied free of charge.

As part of the Rathmullan Regatta Gathering, Rathmullan Charters will have sightseeing trips on Lough Swilly on Wednesday 7th August and again on Friday 9th August.
