Donegal selector Paddy Bradley says that Jeaic Mac Ceallbhuí is still very much a part of the county set-up.
Eyebrows have been raised as Mac Ceallbhuí hasn’t been included in the matchday squads against Down and Clare.
Bradley explained why the Naomh Conaill clubman didn’t make the trip to Ennis last Saturday.
“Jeaic is still in the mix,” said Bradley after the Clare match.
“He’s actually doing exams. Somebody told me they thought Jeaic had left the panel, but there seems to be a lot of noise about who is in and who is out.
“Jeaic is at training most nights but with the heavy workload he has with exams, he actually missed training this week, and we decided it was better if he didn’t play today because he has final exams coming up.”
