The LYIT 40th Anniversary celebrations began officially last evening with the launch of a specially commissioned book, “RTC to LYIT” many past student and lecturers came along to share their stories about their time there.
“RTC to LYIT” chronicles the story of the college from inception to where it is today and includes photos of staff and students. It features key milestones such as the new buildings, introduction of degrees, and has some very interesting and hilarious anecdotes. The book also contains some archive photos, which show the development stages of the LYIT but also serves as a lens into styles and fashion of the 70s, 80s, 90s!
