Residents of Lifford, Co. Donegal have this morning been urged to check their EuroMillions tickets after Tuesday’s draw produced a EuroMillions Plus top prize winner of €500,000 – the 19th such win in Ireland so far this year.
This winning ticket holder bought their lucky Quick Pick ticket at McGettigan’s Applegreen Service Station, in Lifford, Co. Donegal.
Lifford is no stranger to National Lottery luck as the town had a €4.4 million Lotto jackpot win last January.
The winning EuroMillions Plus numbers are:26, 27, 28, 32, 43.
There was no winner of Tuesday’s €75,479,227 EuroMillions jackpot so it rolls over to a whopping €85 million (estimated) for Friday’s draw.
Conor McGettigan, owner of McGettigan’s Applegreen Store in Lifford said:“We are currently celebrating two years in business and what a way to mark our two year anniversary with a half a million euro win for our customers! It’s our first big National Lottery win so it’s all very exciting for us in the store this morning. Have no doubt about it, this is truly life-changing for somebody in Lifford Town. We’ll be celebrating throughout the day and we’ll certainly be reminding each and everyone in the store to check their tickets and claim this wonderful prize.”
The National Lottery is now encouraging all of its players in Donegal to check their EuroMillions tickets carefully. A spokesperson said:“Our EuroMillions players are really on a roll at the moment and last night’s Plus winner was our 19th top prize winner of €500,000 this year. If you are this lucky ticketholder, be sure to sign the back of the ticket and contact our prize claims team on 01 836 4444 and we will make arrangements for you to come to the National Lottery Winner’s Room to get your prize”.
