A LUCKY Donegal Lotto player matched five numbers and the bonus to win an incredible €253,314 in Wednesday night’s draw.
The Donegal player scooped their share of the Match 5+Bonus prize fund after purchasing their tickets online at www.lottery.ie.
Players from Clare and Dublin also purchased a winning ticket to win the same amount.
As no additional funds were added to the jackpot as it remains capped, the funds that would usually go to the jackpot were instead distributed to the next prize tier at which there was a winner and in last night’s draw, this was the Match 5+Bonus.
The winning numbers in Wednesday’s (12th January) Lotto draw were: 05, 07, 10, 19, 21, 35 and the bonus was 36.
Meanwhile, this Saturday’s Lotto draw is guaranteed to see one or more Lotto players win the record-breaking €19.06 million jackpot in a guaranteed ‘Will be Won’ event. On the night of Saturday 15th January, if the ‘will be won’ Lotto jackpot is not won outright, the full value of the jackpot prize will flow down to the winner(s) of the next winning prize tier.
The current Lotto jackpot has been rolling since Wednesday 9th June 2021 and has remained capped at €19.06 million since Saturday 2nd October.
Due to the capped Lotto, the additional funds allocated to the jackpot have been flowing down to the lower prize tiers in each of the subsequent draws.
Over 300 Lotto players have benefited during this time from additional prizes worth over €23million as prize funds have been boosted at the Match 5 + Bonus and Match 5 tiers.
