GARDAÍ in Donegal took to social media this morning to urge motorists to only travel if “necessary”.
This comes following the extension of a low temperature weather warning for Donegal to 11am, Friday, January 19.
Gardaí have this morning described roads around Donegal as being in a “treacherous” condition.

“Please only travel if necessary until road conditions improve.
“Stay safe and check in on elderly/vulnerable neighbours, family members and friends.
“Alert Gardaí if you feel that somebody is in need of our assistance.”
