Lone man captured on CCTV following alloy theft

A large quantity of alloy wheels were stolen from garage premises in Ramelton.

A lone male wearing a light coloured top, gloves and a balaclava was captured on CCTV and is believed to have left the scene in the direction of Tully graveyard or Ballyare football pitch.

The incident happened on Saturday, July 8 at 11.04pm. The lock had been cut on the gate of the premises in order to gain entry.

Given the amount of alloys stolen, the vehicle used by the suspects would most likely have been a van or a vehicle towing a trailer.

A garda spokesperson said: “Information is sought from anybody who was in the Drumman / Ballyare area on Saturday night the 8th of July between 10.45pm and 11.15pm and who had a dash cam or who may have noticed any suspicious activity.

“This was the Saturday night of the Lennon festival and a good crowd was in the area so we are hopeful that someone may have information that might assist with our investigation. Gardaí in Milford may be contacted on (074) 9153060.”
