Local takeaway removes delivery routes due to traffic

by Louise Doyle

RISING traffic congestion has led to a Letterkenny takeaway business withdrawing some of its delivery locations.

Pat’s Pizza has said it can no longer deliver to a number of areas including Kilmacrennan, Legnahoorey, Newmills and parts of Ballymaleel and surrounding regions.

Management of the premises located at Sliabh Dromond in Letterkenny said the decision to remove delivery route areas was not one which they made lightly, but has been borne out of increasing congestion.

“As Letterkenny grows, so too do the challenges of delivering efficiently,” a post on Pat’s Pizza Facebook page reads.

“Due to increasing congestion, we have had to make the difficult decision to adjust our delivery zones. Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to deliver to certain areas outside our updated boundary.

“This decision wasn’t made lightly, but it allows us to maintain the quality and speed of service you deserve.

“As Letterkenny grows, so do the challenges of delivering efficiently.”

Thanking their customers, the post added: “We want to thank you for your continued support. We truly appreciate your understanding and would love to continue serving you in store for pick-up orders.

“Thank you for being a part of our journey – we look forward to bringing you great pizza for years to come.”
