Local lottery players urged to check their ticket

A Donegal lotto player has hit the crossbar – coming up just one number short of last night’s €2 million jackpot.

They instead matched five numbers and the bonus to share with a player in Meath a prize fund of €38,957.

The Donegal winner purchased their ticket on Sunday in Gallagher’s, Cotteen, Derrybeg.

The winning numbers were 5, 8, 16, 22, 30 and 31. The  was 12.

Urging people in Donegal to check their tickets, a spokesperson for the National lottery said, “If you bought your Lotto ticket for last night’s draw in Donegal or Meath, it could be worth €19,479.

“We are urging all players in the Letterkenny and Dunboyne areas to check their tickets carefully today after two players shared a prize fund of €38,957.”
