THE mother of a Lifford girl who is a finalist in Junior Eurovision 2023 has spoken of her pride in her daughter.
Jessica McKean (10) is one three finalists hoping to fly the flag to represent Ireland in France on November 26.
But, just one more hurdle stands in Jessica’s way of performing in Nice.
The talented Raphoe Central National School pupil will again take to the stage on Sunday with two other finalists in a final bid to impress judges Niamh Ní Chróinín and Aindriú de Paor, as well as viewers at home too.
The TG4 show is hosted by Louise Cantillon and Darragh Ó Caoimh.
Jessica’s mum, Sarah McKean told the Donegal News she is “incredibly proud” of her daughter.
She said the entire family were “thrilled” and urged the public to vote for Jessica this weekend.
A‘watch party’ will take place in Maggie’s Tavern, St Johnston, on Sunday evening, where a large number of people from the neighbourhood are expected to gather in support of the talented youngster.
Jessica is being cheered on all the way to France by her parents Sarah and Wesley, sister, Louisa (9) and her little six-year-old brother Archie.
