A Christmas Trolley Dash, organised by Lidl in Donegal, has raised more than €11,000 in support of Jigsaw, the National Centre for Youth Mental Health.
For two weeks in November, Trolley Dash tickets are sold in Lidl stores across Ireland for just €1 each, offering customers the chance to win a supermarket sweep style dash around their local nearest Lidl store.
In Donegal this year’s Trolley Dash winner was Padraig Curran from Manorcunnigham who managed to grab more than €250 worth of goodies.
A Lidl statement said: “Now in its tenth year, the fundraising initiative received phenomenal widespread support from generous customers across Lidl’s 179 stores nationwide, with Lidl customers in County Donegal raising more than €11,000 for Jigsaw.”
Nationally, Jigsaw provides support to more than 250,000 young people and their families in schools, communities, workplaces and clubs across Ireland.
“Jigsaw has remained steadfast in our commitment to help create an Ireland where young people are connected to their community, have easy-to-access support and services to face challenges to their mental health.”
