Dergview FC have announced the signing of Liam Carlin, who is joining the club from Finn Harps.
The Killygordon native is joining the NIFL Premier Intermediate League side with good League of Ireland pedigree under his belt.
Carlin developed his trade with Derry city before later featuring with Finn Harps in his own county.
The Donegal man has also tasted success at underage level, winning a National Cup title at Under 15 level as well as captaining his school to an Ulster Senior Schools title.
Speaking about his signing, the Dergview FC Management stated, “Liam fits exactly the profile we look for — educated in a strong football system, honest in his work, competitive, and keen to improve. He’s come in with the right attitude and already we are seeing his qualities. We’re looking forward to working with him.”
The defender made his debut for the club on Saturday afternoon, starting in the side’s 0-0 draw against Banbridge Town.
The Darragh Park residents currently occupy sixth position in the league table and Carlin will be aiming to have an impact in the team’s ambitions to rise into the promotion places.
