LGFA CHAMPIONSHIP: Another big win for champions Glenfin

DONEGAL LGFA CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND-UP

REIGNING champions Glenfin racked up another big win to make it two wins from two of Group B in the Donegal LGFA Senior Championship on Sunday morning.
They made the trip to Glenties to play Naomh Conaill but got over what on paper looked a tricky challenge, winning by 7-08 to 1-07.

In the other game in that group, it was a much closer affair in Annagry where a rip roaring encounter ended in a one point win for St. Naul’s over Naomh Muire, 5-11 to 3-16.

In Group A, Termon got their campaign off to a winning start, but they didn’t have it easy against Aodh Ruadh. Adrian McGettigan’s Termon won by 0-13 to 0-06 at the Burn Road.
Moville lead the way in this group after a narrow one point win over St. Eunan’s., 1-09 to 0-11.

In the Intermediate Championship, Buncrana and Killybegs have both won two games.
Buncrana recorded an away win in Carndonagh, 1-13 to 0-05 while Killybegs also won on the road, defeating Na Dunaibh by 3-06 to 1-11.

In Group B, Gaeil Fhánada followed up their opening day win away to Gaoth Dobhair with a two point win at home to Ardara, 1-11 to 2-09.

In Group A of the Junior A Championship, MacCumhaills lead the way by a point following their draw away to Malin where it finished Malin 1-08, MacCumhaills 2-05.
Urris played their first game of the campaign and made home advantage count against Four Masters, 2-12 to 2-09.

In Group B Naomh Columba are setting the pace with two wins from two games. They defeated Glenswilly yesterday by 3-19 to 2-09. In the other game in Group B, Naomh Padraig Uisce Chaoinn won by 4-24 to 1-01 away to St Mary’s, Convoy.

In the Junior B Championship, Gaeil Leitir Ceanainn followed up their opening day win over Termon with a 2-07 to 1-06 home win against St Michael’s.
They lead the way in this group along with Aodh Ruadh who were 1-11 to 0-02 winners at home to Termon in Ballyshannon.
