Letterkenny’s dramatic slide in national litter league 'puzzling'

THE latest Irish Business Against Litter (IBAL) survey stated that the approach roads to Letterkenny are “the worst in the country”.
There was huge disappointment in the town to learn it was now deemed “littered” and had fallen from 14th in 2010 to 49th in the most recent survey of 53 towns and cities surveyed by the business anti-litter organisation.
The previous survey at the end of 2010 ranked the town 14th and “clean to European norms”. However by the beginning of 2011 it had fallen to  “moderately littered” and 38th place.
