Letterkenny town centre park plans gather pace

PLANS to develop a multi-million euro two-acre urban parkland in the centre of Letterkenny – along with pedestrian linkages and a new Creative Enterprise Hub – are set to be accelerated in the coming months.

Donegal County Council intends to develop a large tract of largely unused land behind properties on Upper Main Street between Speers Lane and the Church Lane.

It’s all part of the Cathedral Quarter Park project, and funding of almost €10 million has already been approved under the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund.
