Letterkenny third most over crowded hospital in country 

LETTERKENNY University Hospital is the third most over crowded hospital in the country with 53 people awaiting beds this morning. 

Of the 53, 25 patients are in the emergency department while 28 patients are on wards elsewhere.

University Hospital Limerick has the highest number of patients awaiting beds with 97 on trolleys, followed by Cork University Hospital.

679 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch. 520 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 159 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
