TRANSITION year students from Loreto Letterkenny have enjoyed a trip to Creeslough.
Student Mia Regan said the group enjoyed kayaking, surfing, walking and soaking up the sun.
Reflecting on the fun-filled trip, Mia said: “During this trip we did activities such as walking 25k, which was split up over two days, kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing and much more.

“When we arrived we took our first walk through Glenveagh. The weather was surprisingly nice for our first day of walking. We then made our way to Eco Atlantic Adventures, where we took part in kayaking and paddle boarding. Our classes were split up, with the other classes took part in surfing at a different location.
“After a tiring day, we all headed to the Creeslough glamping pods where we all stayed with our friends. There were multiple different types of pods. My friends and I stayed in a chalet containing eight people, while others stayed in pods containing four to five people. Before settling for the night we all went to a local food area for dinner.
“The next morning we headed for breakfast at the Happy Camper before heading for the next part of our walk. This walk, however, was not as pleasant as the first day, as we were trying to walk through rain and wind the entire time. Although we were soaked, we all still had a great time.
“Finally to end our trip, we all got lunch back at the food places around the Creeslough pods, before getting on our bus and heading back to school. Overall, we were tired and cold but it was an amazing trip that we all loved and I’m sure none of us will forget it anytime soon.
“We all loved the overnight stay, and our favourite bit was definitely staying in the chalet and pods with our friends. These trips are definitely what make TY so memorable and we are all looking forward to more.”
