Last season’s Brian McCormick Cup finalists Letterkenny Rovers progressed to the second round of the 2024 edition after coming from behind to defeat Rathmullan Celtic.
Mark McAteer put the Hoops in front with that goal cancelled out via a strike from Joel Gorman while Rovers would take the lead courtesy of a shot from Zach Gorman prior to half-time.
Oisin McMenamin saw a penalty saved midway through the second-half and Lee McMonagle ensured the hosts were in the hat for the next round just a few minutes later.
It was a fast start on the Leckview Astro Pitch as Shea McBride-Friel was called into action inside two minutes to deny a low attempt from Joel Gorman following a short corner.
