THE heart of Letterkenny will embrace the festive spirit as it hosts its annual Christmas Carol Trail on Friday, December 20.
This cherished event, now in its 11th year, is organised collaboratively by the Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce, Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter, and Letterkenny Community Development Project along with the respective churches.
It brings together the community in celebration of the holiday season.
The evening will commence at 7.30pm with carols and readings at Trinity Presbyterian Church on Main Street.
Participants will then proceed in a candlelit procession up Church Lane, stopping at the Gospel Hall, before making their way to the former Methodist Church at the top of the Market Square and taking in St Eunan’s Cathedral before culminating at Conwal Parish Church,
Letterkenny’s oldest building, for additional carols and readings.
The event will conclude with a special rendition of ‘O Holy Night’ by singer Jean Curran, followed by tea and mince pies in the Conwal Parish Church Centre.
All are welcome to come along to the event which offers an opportunity to reflect on the true message of Christmas—goodwill to all.
