Letterkenny Musical Society returns to orphanage

Earlier this year, Letterkenny Musical Society (LMS) presented Annie at An Grianan Theatre in a sold out run that could have gone on for another week.

The success was largely due to the fact that this time last year, press notices like this one brought over 100 girls to auditions, and after a lengthy and difficult selection process, 21 stars were chosen. Now it’s the boys turn!

The society is heading back to an orphanage for our 2012, but this time to a home for boys in Victorian London rather than Depression era New York, and rather than a girl called Annie, we’re tracking the progress of a boy called Oliver.

This orphanage is a place LMS knows, having first produced Oliver over ten years ago in December 2000. Obviously, their Oliver, Dodger and the orphans from back then are now grown men, and so they begin the search for a new batch of young male talent.
