Tailbacks sprang up within minutes on the outskirts of Letterkenny this afternoon to avail of Applegreen’s special offer of cheap fuel for one hour only. To celebrate its birthday the company was offering petrol and diesel at 24.7 cent. “It was incredible,” said one lady who was quick to the filling station at Bonagee.
“The tailback was starting to snake up Lurgybrack hill and that was just in the first few minutes.”
For her it was a great deal. She filled up her vehicle for €19 when it would normally cost around €80.
