A GORTAHORK man has been remanded in custody in connection with a fire at an apartment and retail complex at Upper Main Street, Letterkenny on Thursday.

Paul McGinley (30) from Glen Hola, appeared before a special sitting of Letterkenny District Court this morning (Friday) having been arrested in relation to the incident on Thursday evening.

Nine cars were destroyed in the incident as well as a bakery and clothing store.
