A Letterkenny family say they are happy to see the installation of new and improved speed ramps close to their home.
Malachy and Kathleen McCrossan had highlighted the dangers of speeding motorists passing their home at Scribley when they were interviewed by the Donegal News last month.
They said the only way to address the speeding problems was speed ramps.
Donegal County Council installed speed ramps at the beginning of last week but the McCrossans said they were not fit for purpose and needed to be higher.
Their concerns were echoed by local councillor Donal Coyle who said the ramps weren’t high enough to slow down traffic.
Last Thursday, work was carried out to make the speed ramps higher and both the McCrossans and Cllr Coyle contacted the Donegal News to thank those responsible for listening to their concerns and installing proper ramps.
