Letterkenny estate agent issues appeal as ‘housing crisis deepens’

A LETTERKENNY based estate agent has appealed to anyone thinking about selling a house in Donegal to get in touch as the housing crisis here deepens.

Brendan McGee of Franklins said they urgently need more properties for sale to meet the increasing demand.

“There is a housing crisis in Donegal and we urgently need more properties to sell. A combination of no new builds and the Mica crisis means that we have more buyers than sellers and prices continue to increase in most areas.

“Last year, most properties under €300,000 ended up in a bidding war with many exceeding our asking prices. The average time on the market was just five weeks!” he said.

Franklins are happy to hear from anyone considering selling their house. To get in touch email bmcgee@franklins.ie or telephone 0749188000.
