A DYNAMIC alt-rock duo from Letterkenny has released its eagerly anticipated debut album and latest single as free downloads.
James Gillen and Conal Sweeney, better known as Constant Supply, have been playing music together on and off since they were 13 and went to St Eunan’s College together.
Since James decided to purchase a drum machine before Christmas 2009, the two talented musicians have received a lot of kudos from the Irish music scene and media for their ‘darkly compelling’ brand of alt-rock.
Following their acclaimed debut EP, Alleviate, and follow-up single Daft Quotes, the duo teamed up with a well-known Donegal musician and producer to record their debut album.
Recorded with Villagers guitarist Tommy McLaughlin in his Attica Studio, Termon, The Coast Ain’t Clear is a dark and delicious debut album awash with texture, catchy choruses and layer upon layer of guitar and vocal, anchored by a solid organic bass and metronomic drum machine.
