'Shame on you'- Letterkenny councillor's disgust after illegal dumping in beauty spot

A Letterkenny councillor has hit out at those responsible for illegally dumping at a local beauty spot.

Councillor Gerry McMonagle said his usual walk through Kirkstown Forest was “blighted” when he discovered bags of rubblish dumped illegally this morning.

“Our walk up through Kirkstown forest this morning was blighted by the inconsiderate people who dump rubbish illegally especially at our areas of outstanding beauty. What possesses them to think this is ok?, ” he said.

Cllr McMonagle said all of the things that were dumped were recycleable.

“It would have been easier to take this rubbish to our recycling centre than dump it at this beauty spot. Shame on you.”
