LETTERKENNY-based comedian Pauric Gallagher only took up stand up comedy a year ago and this Thursday night he will step onto the big stage at An Grianan Theatre supporting the legend that is Andrew Maxwell.

While Maxwell has conquered everything comedy has to offer, the Raphoe native is just starting out – but he won’t be daunted as his regular spots around the North West and across Northern Ireland have seen him gain quite a following in a short space of time.

Gallagher has also put in his time at the An Grianan Actor’s Studio, The RCC Comedy workshop and with various local groups so he’s been on the An Grianán stage a few times – though this will be his first time doing it on his own!

Andrew Maxwell is renowned for his cutting edge comedy and intrepid social commentary, a double Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee (2007 & 2011) and star of Sky’s John Bishop’s Only Joking and BBC’s Live at the Apollo, Andrew Maxwell is always a must-see for any comedy fan.

Maxwell has appeared on recent series of BBC’s Have I got News For You, BBC2′s Mock The Week, cementing his reputation as one of the country’s most sought after comedians.

Andrew has won and been nominated for several other major awards including the Time Out Live Award for Best Stand-up, the Loaded Magazine Award for Best Stand-up and the Chortle Award for Best Contribution To The Live Comedy Circuit.

He was also voted Best Irish Comedian by the public at the Entertainment.ie Awards. Hopefully all of this is in the near future for Pauric! Tickets are still available call now on 074 91 20777 or online at www.angrianan.com
