The 41st edition of the Letterkenny Christmas Annual will be officially launched tonight (Thursday 15 December) in the Station House Hotel at 9pm, as part of an evening celebrating the contribution of the late Jim Lynch to the Letterkenny Community.
Sadly, earlier this year Jim Lynch, the long-time editor of the Annual, passed away after a brief illness and initially there were doubts if an Annual would even be produced this year.
Stepping in as editor for the 2022 Annual is Kieran Kelly, a primary school teacher from Letterkenny and author of two local history books on the town.
“We will have a few guest speakers sharing memories of Jim over the years and their appreciation of what the Annual means to them.
“We will have tea and biscuits from 9.45 pm and we hope to see as many Townies out as possible to ring in the Christmas season together,” said Liam O’Donnell, Manager of the Letterkenny Community Centre.
Following the official launch of The Christmas Annual, it will be available in local shops priced at €15.
