Letterkenny celebrates another life-changing Lotto win

LETTERKENNY is celebrating another major National Lottery triumph as a player scooped the €500,000 top prize in yesterday’s EuroMillions Plus draw – marking the second big win for the town this year.  

The player purchased their Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw from Callaghan’s XL on Main Street. 

The winning numbers in last night’s EuroMillions Plus draw were: 5, 16, 21, 36 and 46.

This is Letterkenny’s second high-tier win this year, with the €1,000,000 Daily Million top prize from March 10 also won in the town. The winning ticket was sold at Kernan’s Service Station, Tullygay, Letterkenny.  

Darragh O’Dwyer, National Lottery spokesperson, said: “What a night for Letterkenny as a player in the town has claimed a life-changing amount of money, winning the EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000.

“This is the 13th EuroMillions Plus win so far in 2025. In total over 49,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus draws.”   

The National Lottery is urging all players in the Donegal area to check their tickets carefully and if you’re holding the winning ticket, be sure to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie to arrange the collection of your prize.
