A number of business owners in Letterkenny have united in objecting to the construction of an apartment block on the Pearse Road.

Planning permission for the proposed development of a residential building comprising 28 apartments was given the green light in November last.

Applicant Gerald McCallion, on behalf of Glenturas Construction Ltd., lodged plans in November 2023 for the construction of a residential building consisting of 28 apartments on the Paddy Harte and Pearse Road, Letterkenny.

Donegal County Council granted the go-ahead to the development in November 2024, with 25 conditions attached.

But a series of objections were lodged over the plans, and the proposed development has now been appealed to An Bord Pleanála.
