Letterkenny businesses join together in tourism initiative

BUSINESSES across Letterkenny are coming together with fresh energy and a shared vision to promote the town as the ‘Heart of Donegal’ and an ideal base for discovering everything the county has to offer.

Building on the success of previous collaborative efforts, the newly revitalised Go Visit Letterkenny campaign brings together hotels, hospitality venues, activity providers and retailers to showcase the town’s unique experiences, attractions, and hospitality.

With a coordinated marketing campaign now underway, the initiative highlights Letterkenny as a vibrant destination for visitors exploring Donegal and the wider Wild Atlantic Way.

From family-friendly fun and cultural attractions to great bars, restaurants, and shopping, Letterkenny is perfectly placed for visitors looking to explore the very best of Donegal.

While many well-known local businesses are already supporting the campaign, the group warmly welcomes others to get involved and help amplify the message.

Go Visit Letterkenny committee member, Brian Gallagher from the Station House Hotel said: “We’re working hard as a group to help promote Letterkenny as more than just a stop-off – it’s a destination in its own right.

“There’s a renewed sense of enthusiasm and collaboration among local businesses with this campaign, which is great to see. With such a wide range of things to see and do, we’re reminding people that Letterkenny is the perfect base for visitors looking to explore the best of Donegal and the Wild Atlantic Way.”

This revived collaboration has also been warmly welcomed by Cllr. Ciaran Brogan of Donegal County Council:

“It’s great to see the business community coming together again with such energy and purpose,” he said.

“The group is working closely with Donegal County Council and we’re already seeing great engagement from across the town. We’re encouraging all businesses who share our vision to join us in promoting everything that makes Letterkenny special.”
