Letterkenny business burgled

Gardaí are investigating a burglary that occurred this morning at a business premises on the Pearse Road, Letterkenny.

The alarm was activated and Gardaí were alerted to the fact that a burglary was in progress shortly before 6.20am.

Gardaí immediately attended the scene but nobody was present. The glass in the front door of the premises had been smashed in order to gain entry and some damage had been caused within. The investigation is at an early stage and we are in the process of establishing whether or not anything was stolen during the course of the burglary.

A garda spokesperson said: “We are appealing to anybody who was in the area of the Pearse Road or surrounding areas this morning between 5.45am and 6.45am and who had a dash cam to make the footage available to us.

“The premises in question is situated on the Pearse Road near to the entrance onto the Oliver Plunkett Road. If anybody travelled in that general area early this morning and noticed any suspicious activity, we also ask them to make contact with us in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.
