NINE 24/7 club members have been selected to represent Ireland at the 2013 World Age-Group Triathlon Championships in London.
Taking place on a similar course to the 2012 London Olympics race in Hyde Park, there are sprint and olympic distance races, as well as a standard distance aquathon.
The course itself involves a swim in the Serpentine with a run looping around the same lake. The bike leg heads out through St. James Park and then along the Embankment and back, taking in all the classic London tourist landmarks: Buckingham Palace, The Mall, Parliament, Tower Bridge and Trafalgar Square.
The aquathon took place on Wednesday morning with the Olympic distance race happening early Sunday 15th.
Club members qualified for the races via reaching a required standard in the 2012 National Series, so they have all performed impressively just to get to the start line.
