THERE’S not a person who isn’t guilty of grabbing a hairbrush and pretending to sing along with our favourite musical artists in the confines of their own bedrooms, having a lip sync battle with the radio.
That battle will be taken out of the bedroom and into the hotel next Friday (November 8) when St Eunan’s GAA Club and Letterkenny Music and Drama Group go head-to-head for what is sure to be a night of manic musical mimicry at the Mount Errigal Hotel.
Taking on songs from their favourite artists will be Ollie Harvey, Ciara Mc Veigh, Sammy Bogan, Elaina Gallagher, and Brendan Devenney representing St Eunan’s whilst Letterkenny Musical and Drama Group’s performers will include Martin Anderson, Bridghin Carr, Chris Duddy, Laura Gleeson, and Veronica Haughey.
Rumours abound that performances featuring tunes from Oasis, Dolly Parton and Beyoncé are only part of what should be a fun night in store.
Judging the would-be popstars is an all-star panel including 2012 All-Ireland winner Rory Kavanagh, Letterkenny Pantomime Society’s super-talented Tina Garry, local writer and Letterkenny Music and Drama Group stalwart Kieran Kelly, and our very special guest judge Amanda O’Carroll from ‘Mrs. Brown’s Boys’.
A donation of the money raised on the night will go to the Greg Fitzgerald Recovery Fund.
So, if you’re up for a night of craic, where participants transform into your favourite acts, get along to the Mount Errigal at 7:30pm next Friday.
Tickets are available from the Mount Errigal or any of the performers involved.
It promises to be a night not to be missed!
