A legendary Letterkenny nightclub, which regularly attracted thousands of patrons in the 1970s, 80s and 90s, is to be bulldozed in the coming weeks after falling on hard times.

Plans have been lodged with Donegal County Council to demolish the Golden Grill premises on Port Road which housed Bella’s and the Millionaire Club – before falling into disuse in more recent times.

Last week, fire extinguishers were set off and an office ransacked. It was the latest in a series of break-ins at the premises.
