ILLIES Golden Gloves lad Lee Harkin is through to the semi-finals of the National Junior Cadet Championships.

Harkin, a national boy champion in 2013 who took victory at the Ulster 9 Counties in December, overcame Thurles boxer Michael Doyle in a 50kgs quarter-final on Saturday at the National Stadium.
