TOMORROW is a big day for thousands of pupils across the county who are waiting patiently on their Leaving Certificate results.
The Leaving Certificate 2023 results will be available on the Candidate Self Service Portal (CCSP) at 10am tomorrow morning, Friday, August 25.
Principal of Deele College, Raphoe Mr Joe Boyle said students will get their results on the online portal but the school has invited the students into the school and staff and guidance counsellors will be on hand to discuss their marks.
“We will be here to provide support for the students and also to celebrate their results with them.
“Tomorrow is a great day but the following week when the offers start coming in, that’s when the work for the school really kicks in.
“The students have worked so hard and I hope they get the results they deserve,” said Mr Boyle.
CAO offers are expected to be released on Wednesday, August 29.
While it is an anxious time for students and their families, they are reminded of the many options available to students if the results do not go as planned.
Mr Boyle continued, “The results are only the start of the road for these students and there are so many options available to them.
“When you look at ATU Donegal and what they can offer students is huge.
“There is a large number of access courses while Donegal ETB has the training centre and further education courses.
“At the minute, education is life-long and not just when you leave secondary school.
“We are all doing different bits and pieces throughout our lives and that is what our students will do too.
“There are a lot of different pathways open to students.
“I think the work the guidance teachers have done so far has been extremely important and they will be there for the students if their help is needed after the results too,” said Mr Boyle.
