A LEADING American life and business coach will facilitate an empowerment workshop for women in Ballybofey next week.
Ms Anne Houlihan, whose parents are from Donegal, will host the one-day event titled ‘When You Believe In Yourself, Good Things Happen’ on Sunday, August 9 at Villa Rose Hotel.
Ms Houlihan is an inspiration to other women as a successful business owner, certified life and business coach, motivational speaker, workshop and retreat facilitator.
Born and raised in Scotland of Irish parents, Pat and Nellie Byrne from Ballybofey and Castlefinn, she has facilitated workshops and retreats in California, Arizona and Scotland for the past ten years.
Her passion for developing women’s empowerment workshops came from her own deep personal loss and tremendous adversity.
Starting at the ground level 35 years ago, she worked very hard with her late husband Alex Acebo at Satori Seal Corporation a wholesale distributor of O rings, Seals and Gaskets, serving the medical, automotive, filtration and many other industries.
She continued the company as CEO when Alex suddenly passed away in 1993. Even though an associate commented; “As a woman, she won’t make it in this industry.”
Ms Houlihan continued on to grow Satori Seal Corp to be the successful global company it is today. Recently, she was also a finalist in the NAWBO Business Woman Of The Year 2015.
Ms Houlihan’s treasured memories are her summer holidays at her grandparents, Mary Bridget and Eddie Catterson’s farm in Belalt, outside Castlefin.
She is now remarried to Jesse Houlihan and lives in California, travelling home to Scotland and Ireland often for family celebrations.
Ms Houlihan said she loves the opportunity to share her experience, teach tools that help enable women to believe in themselves, stay positive, confident and fulfil their dreams one step at a time.
