THE latest round of tax defaulters from Donegal published this week shows that eight businesses/individuals paid a total of €821,863 in tax, penalties and interest.
The latest list covers settlements made with the Revenue Commissioners between July and September this year.
The largest Donegal settlement in the third quarter of the year was €247,475 made by Donegal Town based Redbridge Developments Ltd. A revenue Audit revealed and under declaration of VAT.
Letterkenny based money lending agent, Kevin A James of 98 Glenwood Park made a settlement of €177,800 after he was found to have under declared Income Tax on foot of a Revenue audit.
A Letterkenny doctor made a settlement of €137,415. Bhupal Suryavanshi of 25A Gort na Greine, Mountain Top was found to have under declared his Income Tax following a Revenue Audit case.
Ramelton based builder Paul Gardiner of Farnagh agreed a settlement of €83,552 after a Revenue Investigation case found there had been a non-declaration of Capital Gains Tax.
Convoy based Accounting Service Provider, Farmer and Company Director Alyson McKnight of 58 Beechwood Park, Kiltoal agreed a settlement of €70,000 after a Revenue Audit found an under declaration of VAT.
Neil Cunningham, a Derrybeg based convenience store owner made a settlement of €48,689 after a Revenue Audit case showed an under declaration of VAT and Income Tax.
Rathmullan Flooring Contractor Thomas Patrick Eunan Sheridan of Craig agreed a settlement of €42,000 on foot of a Revue Audit which discovered an under declaration of PAYE/PRSI, VAT and Income Tax.
Buncrana based Landlord John Crossan of Porthaw Glen made a settlement of €14,930 after a Revenue Offshore Assets Investigation Case revealed an under declaration of Income Tax.
A total of 113 settlements were made between July and September this year amounting to €21.35 million.
