Finn Harps were denied the three points after Eanna Clancy’s late header saw UCD steal a draw in a six goal thriller at the UCD Bowl.
The game opened at a flying pace and Sean O’Donnell had the ball in the net after 15 seconds for the visitors, but UCD responded through a Donal Higgins free on six minutes.
Success Edogun restored the lead for the visitors 10 minutes before half-time as he curled into the far corner following a David Cawley pass.
Ciaran Behan’s deflected strike made it 2-2 on the hour mark and when Noe Baba was fouled in the box, Edogun scored the penalty which looked like the winner on 88 minutes.
But an Eanna Clancy header in the 93rd minute gave the Students a point to keep them second, while Finn Harps move up to third.
