Letterkenny Rovers 4 Keadue Rovers 3
Lee McMonagle completed a hat-trick in injury time as Letterkenny Rovers won the Brian McCormick Cup against Keadue Rovers in Ballyare.
McMonagle gave Letterkenny Rovers the lead as he poked in from an Adrian Delap cross before the break, but Paul Boyle’s header levelled the game in the second half.
The Letterkenny forward got his second after he was fouled in the box by Matthew Smith, who was given a second yellow card and McMonagle fired the penalty into the bottom corner.
The ten men of Keadue battled back and Peter McGee scored twice in eight minutes to give them the lead with ten minutes remaining.
But as Delap volleyed in from close range after a Chris Malseed header, Letterkenny Rovers got level and quickly after they found the winner as Delap crossed for McMonagle to head home in the first minute of added time.
