Donegal 1-14 Armagh 1-13
PATRICK McBrearty curled over a late winning score as Donegal defeated Armagh in O’Donnell Park today, and retained their Division 1 status.
Declan Bonner’s team started the game well and led by 1-4 to 0-2 after 11 minutes with Jason McGee scoring a great goal.
Donegal extended their lead out to six but Armagh then grabbed a goal from Aidan Nugent in the 33rd minute.
However, the home side finished the half strongly with Michael Murphy and Patrick McBrearty on target.

Donegal appeared to be in control in the third quarter but then Murphy missed a penalty.
Armagh started to rally and got back to within one point of their opponents.
The Orchard county drew level in the 70th minute when Rian O’Neill converted a ’45’.
The match was in the melting pot but Donegal found a winner when Patrick McBrearty curled over at the death.
There was a big scuffle after the match and it’s sure to be lively when the sides meet again in the Ulster Championship on April 24.
Declan Bonner’s men stay in the top tier for another season while Kildare and Dublin are relegated.
