Naomh Columba were given a real scare at the Burn Road today but finished strongly to defeat Buncrana and reach the semi-finals of the Intermediate Championship.

It was all going to plan for Naomh Columba early in the second half when a goal from Kevin McNern helped them to open up a 2-7 to 1-2 lead.
However, Buncrana battled back with Caolan McGonagle and Kevin Jordan to the fore and they edged in front in the 59th minute.
Paddy Byrne replied with a brilliant goal moments later and late scores from Paul O’Hare and Pauric Hegarty sealed the deal.
