Last letters to Santa to be posted by next Wednesday

AN Post reminds customers of the latest dates for posting your Christmas cards and parcels to your loved ones this Christmas wherever they are in the world.

The first key date is Thursday, December 4 for standard letters and parcels going to distant addresses such as Australia, New Zealand, Asia and also parcels to the USA.

An Post urges senders to send their cards and parcels ahead of the deadline to avoid any disappointment.

For parcels going to the USA Thursday, December 4 is the deadline with Wednesday, December 10 for the posting deadline for letters.

Any parcels going to Europe should be posted by Friday, December 12, and letters and cards by Thursday, December 18.

Due to exceptionally high volumes, Tuesday, December 16 is the posting deadline for all parcels for pre-Christmas delivery within Ireland and to the United Kingdom.

Monday, December 22 is the final deadline for posting letters and cards within the Republic of Ireland.

Children’s Letters to Santa should be posted by Wednesday, December 10. All they need to do is put their letter in an envelope, seal it and address it to Santa Claus, North Pole and stick a national N stamp on it. The child’s name and address should be clearly written in the top left corner of the envelope.
