Landlord alert after drugs find

AFTER the discovery of Donegal’s biggest cannabis growing factory near Malin this week, a senior garda has warned property owners to be alert to what their tenants are doing.


Superintendent Kevin English was speaking after a planned search operation on Wednesday morning at a disused industrial building at Drumaville, uncovered €1 million worth of cannabis plants at various growth stages. Two non-national men, believed to be Chinese, who had been living in the factory, were arrested and taken to Buncrana garda station for questioning.

The industrial scale cannabis growing unit was discovered in the disused factory on Wednesday around 10am.
