Convoy Arsenal 2 Lagan Harps 4
Lagan Harps booked their place in the next round of the Brian McCormick Cup after a strong performance away to Convoy Arsenal on Sunday.
The visitors had a two-goal advantage at the interval courtesy of goals from Oisin Harkin and Kyle Martin, while Jamie O’Donnell reduced the deficit on the hour. Connor Crossan scored a beauty to restore the two-goal cushion, and Martin added a second to his tally before Eamon Coyle netted a late consolation for the hosts.
Lagan Harps started on the front foot, and they didn’t let up for even a minute in the opening stages. Rory McCrossan went close to a goal inside two minutes, but his close-range header was hooked off the line by James Wilson, and it wouldn’t be his last time performing goal line heroics.
